The need for recreational activities for youth and secular community programs was keenly felt in I. C. Colony. Thus, it became evident that the next step was to identify freehold land or government land to initiate our activities. We were able to adopt two recreational grounds from the BMC R North Ward in the year 2008. The Borivali Centre was officially inaugurated on 27th March 2009 in the presence of over 600 people who gathered to witness the historic moment. The Borivali Centre of Bombay YMCA continued to make its presence felt with services to the community and meaningful programs and activities for members, especially for senior citizens and housewives, with facilities of a well-lit walking track. The sports facilities available at the branch at affordable prices are considered a boon by neighboring residents. Many come here to take care of their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, which keeps them active and fit.
