The Navi Mumbai branch, the first branch in the twin city, has served the members during the last several years with more than just the games and programs, but also with the opportunity to interact with others in the community in the area. On February 8, 1982, Bombay YMCA purchased a 4000 sq. meters plot of land in Sector 8 at Belapur Node. On May 19, 1983, they took possession of the plot. This is the first YMCA set up outside the city limits. The branch was inaugurated by Shri. Brahmananda Reddy, Governor of Maharashtra on April 30, 1988. The function was presided over by Dr. V. Subramaniam, Minister for urban affairs. The Navi Mumbai Centre was granted the status of a branch in December 1991. The Swimming pool has added attraction to the branch, with its regular programs and activities for the members.
